 YP Buzz -

Outstanding Indian striker Hardik Pandya has been heavily missed on the Indian cricket team in recent times. The cricketer had a back problem, which could get better over time. As a result, his performance continued to decline with the white ball format.

Now in a major development, Hardik is considering withdrawing from the game's long-form due to a back injury that has kept him out of action. If the reports are credible then Pandya wants to focus on white cricket and IPL. The cricketer has informed the BCCI of his intention to retire from the Test program, however, an official statement is yet to come.

It was 2018 when Hardik played his last Test match in England and since then has not played in Test cricket. The cricketer will not be on the next trip to South Africa again.

“He has been suffering from an injury for some time and although he has not officially announced it, he is considering retiring for the Test. It will help him focus on white cricket. He was not present however in our Test programs. It will be a huge loss but we have to fix the backup, ”a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.

Hardik, who underwent spinal surgery last year, failed to obtain his form. He failed to do the same with the strike and did not miss much. Throughout the IPL 2020 and 2021, he did not seem to miss out. Although he returned to the game with football when England played at home, he failed to leave anything.

“He is only 28 years old and it would be a big mistake when he heard the last time he quit Test cricket. He has been one of the best players in India to ever produce. But we need the perfect player Hardik who is back in the over-overs with two world cups in the next two years. His return to the field will be very important, ”a BCCI official told InsideSport.

Thanks & Regards
